First, every time I say Adrian, I have to do it like Sylvester Stallone did in the Rocky movies.
But on to the news…Steve Gaines was unanimously chosen the next pastor at Bellevue. His in-laws attend there - no way I could pastor my inlaws or parents. The interesting news is that he took his name off the list twice and had told FBC Gardendale he would never leave.

Bro. Steve was the only Pastor other than my Father, “The Reverend Roy M. Hayes” I’ve ever had. GFBC is no longer the same without Bro. Steve and Donna. We miss you so much. May God Bless you in your work at Bellevue. Our loss is certainly their “Gaines”. We love you Bro Steve and Donna and thank God for the impact you had on our lives.

Steve Gaines was a friend to me as I was pastor of a small Alabama Church. Steve took the time to minister to me even though I could give him nothing in return. He even came to my church one day while just he and I were there and we had prayer at the altar in the sanctuary. I believe in Steve Gaines as a man of God and I hold Steve in high esteem.
