Making evangelism good news again…

Posted on 08 March 2006 by David Phillips

In yesterday’s baptist press, there’s an excellent article

by John Avant, vice president for evangelization at the Southern Baptist North American Mission Board.

In
it he tells about an experience he had of getting to share Christ with
a young girl’s grandfather despite a time of being frustrated "with
controversy in the Southern Baptist Convention" and the fact he had to
cut off time with his family - his first true day off in months - to
deal with the issue.

I hope you will take the time to check this
article out.  It is a reminder that we can share Christ through
any situation and in any location, and that is the heart of the calling
we have as Christians first, and Baptist second.
