Doctoral Reading List

Posted on 05 July 2006 by David Phillips

I just got one of my seminar’s reading list.  Here are the books on the list:

  4. Pongracz, Patricia, Wayne L. Roosa, and Museum of Biblical Art. The Next Generation: Contemporary Expressions of Faith. Grand Rapids, Mich. New York N.Y.: William B. Eerdmans Pub. ; Museum of Biblical Art, 2005.

I’ve read some of Meg (Margaret) Wheatly and Alan Hirsch.  However, I’m not familiar with any of the other authors.  If you have some knowledge of them, I would appreciate any insight.

I feel your pain my brother, I feel your pain. Undergrad and post grad? = 2 books max per class. Doctoral? = no fewer than 3 each…

  2. Kevin Bussey Says:

Maybe I will reconsider going for mine :)

Trust me Brother, if I can do it, as much of an idiot as I can be, YOU most assuredly can do it! I have to tell you, I am getting so much out of this training I am so happy I am sucking it up and getting it done. It is so funny to me, the deeper my commitment to Christ, the better He prepares me to commit to Him.

Hi DAve, noticed the blog and dropped in. Just to let you know that my book The Forgotten Ways will not be released until Jan 07 :-( Unless you are with Len Sweet - he’s got a special deal with Brazos. I take it that you are. Anyhow, let me know what you think. And no, I don’t know any of the others either.

  5. David Phillips Says:

    Alan,

thanks for dropping by! Yeah, I’m studying with Len Sweet and the rumor is that we’re going to have an e-copy when we get to class at the end of August. I will let you know.
