It’s Mardi Gras 2007. I love this time of the year, especially when I lived in New Orleans. Tonight, my wife and I will be going to a themed Mardi Gras dinner cooked and demonstrated by a professional chef. We’ll have New Orleans bouillabaisse with Andouille sausage & caramelized Cajun leeks; Mixed Greens with Feta Cheese & Aged Balsamic Vinaigrette; Creole Mustard Crusted Filet of Beef topped with Lump Crab Croquette; Pureed Cauliflower Cheddar Mousse finished with wild mushroom Wine Sauce; King Cake and Beignets. We will also get the recipes! We’ll see how authentic it is.
