Pastor, Are You Lonely?

LonelinessMy wife and were talking this afternoon about loneliness and the ministry. During our married life, we have been church members and pastors or staff members at a church. There was a genuine difference in our relationships between the two situations. As simply church members, we were invited to places by others and had great friends. As a pastor or staff member, not so much. So we were wondering if this was our context or normal.

So I pose this question to you…do you feel lonely? Do you feel that the relationships that you have and the fun times with others that you have are a result of your initiation or does your church or others outside the church initiate aspects of the relationship?

Take the poll and let us know

If one person submits to another person, is the other person therefore in authority over the one submitting?
