Southern Cooking

Posted on 28 February 2008 by David Phillips

I’m from Alabama.  And I grew up on biscuits & gravy.  Hardee’s has chicken biscuits for breakfast, at least in the South, though if you go north of Virginia, they all but disappear.

Well tonight, I had a hankering, and so for dinner I made some fried chicken with gravy, biscuits, and homestyle potatoes…

Hmm….felt like I was at Cracker Barrel!

Okay, crazy. Because… ME TOO! Although my chicken was over-cooked, the gravy was lumpy, and I had dinner rolls instead of biscuits. I felt like I cooked it myself. =)
