MORPHE: Thoughts on the Lectionary texts and Justification

In this edition of MORPHE, I begin by looking at the themes in the lectionary texts for November 1, 2009 and provide some unifying thoughts. I also note the idea of justification in Ps. 24 and its comparison to NT Wright’s thoughts on justification.

Regarding the lectionary, I’ve used it some in the past, but think I will begin to use it more in the future. Many thanks to my dear friend Todd Littleton for the modeling of this. I’m hoping not to step on his toes with my podcast :-D

MORPHE: Not A Gospel Centered Christianity, But A…

Christ Jesus Centered Christianity. With all the talk about a Gospel-centered church and a Gospel-centered Christianity, no one is talking about the need for a Jesus-centered Christianity, except for Len Sweet and Frank Viola. In this MORPHE podcast, David shares his thoughts on the necessity of a Jesus-centered Christianity, not a Gospel-centered Christianity.

Music by Air5, I Will Carry You and a plug for my wife, Brenna Phillips, who will have 2 articles printed in Group Publishing’s Children’s Ministry Magazine in Sept/Oct 2009.
