It’s PI Day!

That’s right, today is Pi day.  Pi — that magical, mystical number representing the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter — gets the attention it deserves today (ahem, 3.14).

So number nerds unite! Go to your favorite desert counter and eat a piece of Pi in honor of this special day!

BGAY…Oops, I mean BGAV

<br />

Oops. That wasn't right!

I am listening to a Napkin Scribbles podcast from Len Sweet on Vanity Plates.  He tells the story that a few years ago, the Baptist General Association of Virginia got customized license plates for their staff that had BGAV and then a number.  An example is BGAV 1.  The problem was that from a distance, the V looked like a Y, so it looked like BGAY 1.  As Len tells the story, the BGAV employees had to deal with getting yelled at by truckers and others who didn’t care for the plates.

Needless to say, they don’t have those license plates any more!
